Birmingham City planning a tour to Hong Kong and China
13th May 2010
Birmingham City's players and coaching staff will spend nearly two weeks in the Far East ahead of their next Premier League campaign. The trip from July 14-27 will take in Hong Kong, Beijing and Shenyang with one match in each city.
Blues are owned by a Chinese group, led by club president Carson Yeung.
"It will be our honour to welcome the manager, his coaches, the squad, club officials and supporters to our country," Yeung said.
"Many, many people in Hong Kong and China have become proud Bluenoses and I know they are very excited about the prospect of Blues coming over here.
"We are ambitious and have big plans regarding commercial and cultural link-ups - as highlighted by a five-year deal with Chinese kit manufacturers Xtep. "
Blues are expected to announce details of the three matches they will play over the next couple of weeks.
